JOB SUMMARY:

The Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago (PCTT) is looking for a creative Graphic Designer who will be responsible for designing and creating visual concepts that will communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate our members. The individual will be expected to collaborate on a variety of products, including; website, social media, flyers, books, magazines, posters design and more. Collaboration with the communications team in creating visually appealing designs that will increase event awareness and attract viewership.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and design captivating materials for print and digital content
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
• Maintain brand guidelines and advise on creative direction
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
• Perform retouching and manipulation of images
• Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software
• Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts
• Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas
• Amend final designs based on feedback and gain full approval
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects

Profile of Qualification:

EDUCATIONAL:

• A minimum of five (5) GCE or CXC Subjects, Grades I, II and III.
• Certification in Graphic Design or a related field will be an asset

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva
• Pay attention to design brief and ensure that the visual communication meets the necessary requirements.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and composition.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as a team
• Knowledge of and/or preparedness to become familiar with and abide by PCTT’s principles, code of conduct and humanitarian goals
• Strong understanding of design principles and techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience in designing for both print and digital media
• Experience with branding and identity design

• Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product marketing and design, advertisements, and multimedia design.

• Preparedness to support PCTT’s mission and principle of selfless service to mankind
• Sense of Humour with ability to work under stress

Part time flexible

Note:

All staff must show proof of a certificate of good character within 3 - 4 weeks of hire.
